Accommodation & Facilities
What’s The Accommodation Like?
Sitting pretty on a quiet country road, our retreat centre has all the charm of a historic homestead. The main dining area overlooks lush green gardens, while a large country-style verandah offers the perfect communal space to soak in the natural surrounds.
-
Guest rooms are cosy, and each comes with its own dedicated bathroom — some with direct en-suite access and others via a private external entry.
-
Heaters and extra blankets are provided in cooler months, and simple rotating fans keep you comfortable when it’s warm.
-
If you’d prefer your own private room, you can upgrade for an additional cost. If private rooms are available for your selected date, this option will appear during booking and the additional cost will be quoted before you confirm.
-
Our grounds feature a lovely pond and plenty of peace and quiet — ideal for escaping the hustle of everyday life.
-
Please note, rooms don’t include kettles or fridges; hot water for tea and limited fridge space are available in the dining area.
How Do I Get There?
Our address is: 571 Wheelbarrow Ridge Road, Colo Heights.
The venue is nestled in Colo Heights, approximately 120 minutes by car from Sydney CBD. The nearest town and train station is Windsor (39 minutes away). We’re also 44 minutes away from Richmond Station (trains are more frequent at this station).
You’re welcome to drive and park at the retreat or catch the train. We recommend a train to Richmond, so you can easily book a taxi to the retreat centre for roughly $100. (Note: we suggest booking in advance, as it can be difficult to organise a taxi from there.) If flying from interstate, you can first catch a train to Sydney Central, and go from there. Check out 131500.com.au for trip planning and schedules.
Is There Parking At The Retreat Centre?
Yes, there is ample parking on the property. Where possible, we recommend car pooling.
Do You Have Phone Reception Or Wifi?
Like most bush retreats, mobile phones will not work on the premises. We do have a landline and StarLink for emergency use. This might sound a little scary, but ultimately we encourage our guests to take a step back and to disconnect from technology for the time of their retreat. It works wonders.
Do You Have A Laundry?
There is no laundry facility.

When’s Check-In And Out?

Reservations & Payment
Are Your Programs NDIS Funded?
Currently, we don’t offer specialised respite covered under NDIS and therefore not funded.
What’s Your Cancellation And Refund Policy?
We can offer a full refund should you need to cancel your retreat, as long as this request is made 72 hours before your scheduled retreat.
Refund requests closer than 72 hours to the retreat will not be accepted, but we gladly offer you the opportunity to reschedule up to 24 hours prior. Repeat rescheduling requests may incur a $20 admin fee per person, per booking.
Attendance
I’ve Never Tried Yoga, Can I Join?
Absolutely. Our yoga and meditation classes are suitable for ALL levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. For more challenging poses, our teachers will always present modifications.
Can I Attend By Myself?
We encourage it! Either way, you’ll be surrounded by open, like-minded people. Some delay retreating because they’re waiting for friends, but we highly recommend taking that leap for yourself.
Is Workshop Attendance Compulsory?
Even though we recommend attending workshops to derive a rounded retreat experience, they’re completely optional. We encourage guests to go with their flow.
Are These Retreats Women Only?
Not at all. All retreat programs welcome all genders, and people from all walks of life.
Is The Retreat And Rooms Accessible For People With Mobility Needs?
We strive to create an inclusive space for everyone, however the property (at present) does have some limitations. Contact us for more details.
I’m Pregnant, Can I Join?
Yes you can, however, we would recommend you speak to your medical practitioner if you have specific concerns. Our yoga teachers will help you to adapt poses to ensure they’re performed safely.
Can I Bring My Kids?
The minimum age to take part in our retreat is 16 years old.
I Don’t Speak English Very Well, Can I Join?
You can use your discernment here. You will be required to follow the instructions given during classes, and we encourage all retreaters to partake in meditation talks.
How Can I Make Sure I’m In The Same Room As My Friend?
Please make sure you create one booking for both of you when registering. This way you can choose a relevant room, twin or double, to suit your needs.
Food & Dietary Requirements
What’s The Food Like? What If I Have A Special Diet?
Our food is nourishing, fresh, tasty, and entirely plant-powered. We use Asian, Middle-Eastern and Mediterranean flavours. Meals are vegetarian (almost vegan), though we occasionally include honey in our dishes.
We also cater for strict vegans and those requiring dairy or gluten free foods due to intolerance. Allergies will also be carefully noted. Please let us know your specific restrictions and allergies in the booking form. Unfortunately, we cannot customise meal times. Please note, our kitchens and venue are strictly meat free.
What If I Have A Serious Food Allergy?
If you have a serious food allergy and/or carry an Epipen or auto-adrenaline injector, it’s important that you contact the crew prior to making your retreat booking. Please email us so we can discuss your booking options. In most cases, we will organise a separate meal for you, however, in very rare circumstances we may not be able to accommodate you due to the severity/nature of your allergy.
Once we’ve talked through your options, please ensure you note your allergy at the time of booking and upon check in. Please note, our kitchen handles allergens such as ground nuts and tree nuts. Whilst we take care to prepare food items separately for those who are allergic or intolerant to ingredients, we can’t guarantee cross-contamination of allergens. We also utilise many ingredients which have ingredient disclaimers of ‘may contain [allergens].’
Other Policies
What's Your Smoking Policy?
Smoking is prohibited in the retreat centre and surrounding grounds. Those who wish to smoke can do so at the car park. We also ask that you’re extra cautious with the disposal of your cigarette.
Can I Drink Alcohol?
Our retreat is 100% alcohol & recreational drug-free, in order to create the same safe space for all retreaters.
Are Pets Allowed?
We do not allow outside pets on the property. If you have an assistance dog, please email us with the relevant and up-to-date Public Access Test results and qualification. We’ll get back to you with any questions, and booking steps.
